If I’ve learned anything in my 41 years of life, it’s that life isn’t always what you expect in every season, but that doesn’t mean you’re not exactly where you need to be.
Over the past decade, I went from being at the top of my legal career to owning multiple businesses and traveling 8 months of the year with complete freedom of where I place my time and energy. Long past are the days I spend 8+ hours a day working towards someone else’s dream.
If you don’t believe me, here is a snippet of the past decade:
In 2015, I walked away from an almost decade long legal career with zero aftermath game-plan. ⚖️
In 2017, I stopped drinking alcohol because it was doing more harm than good, to both my physical and mental health. 🍷
In 2019, I started Luna & Jade instead of going back to corporate law with only a one-page business plan and my fingers crossed. 🤞🏼
In 2021, I almost opened a brick and mortar store, but backed out of the lease execution the day I was supposed to sign because of a gut feeling. ✍🏼
In 2022, on a complete whim, I decided to start offering permanent jewelry and literally taught myself how to do it in one week. ⚡️
In 2023, I had a product go viral and sold 1000’s in a weekend. I had to remove the product from my website because I couldn’t keep up and lost out on ~$50k in sales that year. 💸
In 2024, I decided I wanted to take a step back from doing it ALL, so I hired someone to handle production. I could travel with my husband 8 months of the year while running the back-end of the business and have true freedom of my time. 🌴
In 2025, I’m going to approach change with an open heart + mind knowing the good times are always good and the bad times never last. 🖤
If you don’t like how you feel, change it. If you don’t like where you are in life, change it. YOU hold the power, and no one has to give you permission to take tiny steps every day to better yourself.
I’ve went through a TON of uncomfortable change to get where I am today and am still constantly evolving. Cheers to change…the good, the bad, and the better. 🫶🏻
